A 54-year-old celebrity chef in the East Bay is behind bars because he stands accused of robbing a bank in Orinda earlier this week.  Valentino Luchin talked with ABC7 News Friday from inside the Martinez detention facility. In that interview, he admitted robbing a Citibank in Orinda around 11 a.m. Wednesday saying, "I went inside and said 'good morning. Nobody move. This is a robbery.'"

Police in Lafayette are looking for a man who reportedly robbed another at gunpoint in the area of Lafayette Circle and Mt. Diablo Boulevard Sunday evening.

 

37 cars burglarized while College Park seniors were at prom

Police are looking for suspects who broke into 37 cars in the parking lot of College Park High School while seniors were off-site at senior prom. According to police, 37 cars were burglarized and there was 1 theft from an unlocked vehicle.
