The Downtown Specific Plan calls for reviewing and updating the City’s parking regulations to current standards, including parking requirements for different uses and the parking in-lieu fee.  The City Council appointed a temporary committee in 2013, comprised of a representative of the Planning Commission, Circulation Commission, Chamber of Commerce, and staff, to review and update the parking ordinance.  Completion of the parking ordinance update is anticipated in 2015.

The Parking Ordinance Committee meets on an as-needed basis and does not have regularly scheduled meetings.  Please see the City Calendar for specific dates.  Meetings are generally held at the Lafayette City Offices, 3675 Mt. Diablo Boulevard, Suite 265, Lafayette, CA 94549.
