In December 2012, the City of Lafayette adopted regulations to govern the location, design, and appearance of Wireless Communications Facilities. The regulations were adopted in an effort to address an increase in the number of applications for WCF modifications, the proliferation of the number and scale of WCFs throughout the city, violations at existing WCFs in Lafayette, and an upsurge in the use of data and rapidly evolving technologies. Now that the regulations have been tested for more than a year, the City will be evaluating the regulations and determining what modifications (if any) are warranted.

The City formed a temporary subcommittee, comprised of representatives of the City Council and the Planning Commission.

The Wireless Communications Facilities Subcommittee meets on an as-needed basis and does not have regularly scheduled meetings.  Please see the City Calendar for specific dates.  Meetings are generally held at the Lafayette City Offices, 3675 Mt. Diablo Boulevard, Suite 265, Lafayette, CA 94549.
