It’s SWELL at the Library!

Local middle and high school students will be able to drop-in at the new Student Wellness Summer Program (the SWELL Center) starting on June 6 through July 29 at the Lafayette Library and Learning Center, 3491 Mt. Diablo Blvd in downtown Lafayette.

The SWELL Center will be available Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will offer teens a variety of active and self-guided activities such as board games, cards, journaling and crafts, as well as community engagement opportunities and access to support groups.  The SWELL Center will be a space dedicated to teens where individuals aged 12 to 18 can spend time with friends and meet new people in an inclusive, comfortable, casual environment.

The SWELL Center is a pilot program offered through a partnership of the Lafayette Library & Learning Center Foundation and the City of Lafayette, in collaboration with the Lafayette Library.
