Code Enforcement enforces the Lafayette Municipal Code, particularly as it relates to land use and property maintenance. The City of Lafayette utilizes Contra Costa County Code Enforcement for issues related to building code violations, grading, unpermitted construction, remodels, and housing condition violations.
