2025 Road Paving Project
Lafayette City Council, at its meeting on March 24, 2025, awarded a construction contract for the 2025 Road Paving Project to Rapid Grading Services, Hayward, CA in the base bid amount of $2,539,677.60.
This Capital Improvement Project includes road rehabilitation on:
Mt. Diablo Boulevard, from El Nido Ranch Road to Acalanes Road, and
St. Mary’s Road, from the north intersection of Glenside Drive to Rohrer Drive.
The project also includes the installation of new concrete bus pads; replacing metal beam guardrails; as well as repaving the eastside asphalt pathway between S. Lucille Road and Rohrer Drive and adding concrete curb ramps at intersections to meet to ADA Standards on St. Mary’s Road. Work on Mt. Diablo Boulevard includes upgrading the existing bicycle striping and reconstructing curb ramps at Paulson Court and Acalanes Road. This roadwork will require detours and lane closures.
The project began in late April, 2025 and is anticipated to be completed in October, 2025.
