2026 Road Paving Project

The 2026 Road Paving Project is underway. This roadwork will require detours and lane closures. Construction updates will be provided on this webpage at the end of each week as the Friday Update.

The Lafayette City Council, at their meeting on April 27, 2026, awarded a construction contract in the amount of $3,176,684.58 to Rapid Grading Services, Hayward, CA for the 2026 Road Paving Project. This Capital Improvement Project will include road rehabilitation on:

Arbor Way (from Hidden Valley Road to End)
Bacon Court (the loop area only)
Brook Street (from Hough Avenue to Moraga Road)
Diablo Drive (from Hawthorn Drive to East End)
Glenside Drive (from Reliez Station Road to Glenside Circle)
Happy Hollow Court (from Bacon Court to End)
Hidden Valley Road (from Diablo Circle (north) to Acalanes Road)
Huntleigh Drive (from Lucas Drive to End)
John Way (from Powell Drive to Old Jonas Hill Road)
Knox Drive (from Silverwood Drive to Hidden Valley Road)
Las Huertas Road (from Saint Mary’s Road to Old Millstone Lane)
Los Arabis Drive (from Estates Drive to Upper Happy Valley Road)
Los Palos Manor (from Glenside Drive to North End)
Marianne Drive from (Acalanes Road to West End)
McBride Drive (from Bradbury Drive to South End)
Monticello Road(from Glen Road to End)
Natasha Drive (from Rahara Drive to End of Public Road)
O’Conner Drive(from Oak Street to Moraga Road)
Richelle Court (from Reliez Station Road to End)
Rose Court (from Rose Lane to End)
Ruppel Place (from McBride Drive to End)
Secluded Place (from Bacon Court to End)
Springhill Road (from Goyak Drive to Springhill Lane)
Sweet Court (from Sweet Drive to End)
Via Roble (from Dolores Drive to Via Baja (south))
Village Center (from Mosswood Drive to Mt. Diablo Boulevard)
Walnut Drive (from Dyer Drive to Woodland Way)
Yorkshire Court (from Ridge Road to End)

The project also includes trimming vegetation and trees, repair of existing concrete curbs and gutters, and sidewalks that have been lifted; removal and replacement of asphalt berms; replacing metal beam guardrails; regrading side road ditches and repairing old corrugated metal pipes and the removal and replacement of the old retaining wall and asphalt pathway at Springhill Road; and adding concrete curb ramps at intersections to meet to ADA Standards on Brook Street and O’Conner Drive.

The project started in June 2026 and is anticipated to be completed in mid-September 2026.
