Lafayette's Public Art Collection

Although Lafayette features a variety of artwork in public spaces, the City’s official public art collection includes only those works located at the Lafayette Library and Learning Center, as well as pieces that have been gifted to the City or installed on city-owned property. Artwork installed through the City’s Public Art Ordinance remains privately owned.

Phase one is nearly complete— most of our Birdhouse Collection, a gift from Mr. Greg Moeller, is now live! Click on a bird icon to pull up a Google Street View or an image and see these one-of-a-kind installations in their real-world locations. Burton Valley and Trails mapping will be completed soon! Next, we’ll be adding works from our Public Art Requirement Collection and future murals, expanding the map into a dynamic guide to public art in our community.
