Public Art Walk and Talk
Where: The Lafayette Library & Learning Center Art Gallery
The Public Art Committee invites you to come out and explore the rich and diverse artistic expression of the visual arts in the community on a Walk and Talk. Members of the Public Art Committee will introduce you to Lafayette's hidden public art gems on a walk that will wind its way through downtown Lafayette. The program will start at the LLLC Library Art Gallery at 1 pm with an introduction to award-winning Lafayette painter and print maker, Pam Fletcher, who will talk about her work, which is currently on exhibition at the Gallery. The Walk will begin at 1:15 pm and visit works at the LLLC, Plaza Park, La Fiesta Square, the Mercantile Building, the Town Center, the Jennifer Perlmutter Gallery, ending at 945 Mountain View to meet artist Alice Stern and see her recent installation, A Living Street, at that site. The walk will take approximately 1.5 hours. The Lafayette Library & Learning Center Library Art Gallery (Adjacent to the Don Tatzin Community Hall) is located at 3491 Mt. Diablo Blvd. Lafayette, CA 94549. Parking is available at the library.
