The Public Art Plan

The Public Art Plan, revised and adopted by City Council in 2025, defines the vision, objectives, and guiding principles of the City’s public art initiative. It also includes key administrative procedures for selecting public art and deciding its locations.

General Plan

The Land Use chapter of the Lafayette General Plan adopted in 2002 includes a goal to support public art (Goal LU-23).

Municipal Code

To implement public art policies and programs, the City Council adopted Chapter 6-26, Public Art, into the Lafayette Municipal Code.
